After you have an idea... and write it down in words... you let your hands start to
make pictures. You start with an idea and then refine a sketch until you have one you like!
Next you start to work on the colors you like. Try all kinds of things until
you decide! It's fun to color things like purple horses, too!
This picture is pretty cool! But she doesn't have something we like to call "dimension."
The picture above looks a bit "flat." So next we start to add shape with shadow and texture.
At this point it's good to add a background color to "plant" your design
in the picture. It helps to refine the depth. "Happy Birthday," Annabelle!
